We are the Smith Family, proud owners of the Port and Starboard cottages. We have been on Lake of Bays for over two decades; we have a cottage nearby and are lucky enough to call it home for much of the year.

 

We purchased this special 350 foot waterfront property on The Narrows Road in 2018, after acquiring the 250 acre neighbouring lot across the road ten years earlier (which meets 400 acres of crown land and Sparks Lake). It was a natural complement to the land and we were grateful to  preserve and enhance the waterfront with these unique new buildings.

We were fortunate to be able to build on the footprint of the old cottages and enjoy the extremely close proximity to the Lake of Bays shoreline. These modern structures were artfully designed and built by HLD Muskoka and feature high-end, modern amenities. The uniqueness of having two structures on one property with a groomed connecting pathway offers guests the opportunity to house extended family in two separate buildings, or enjoy the privacy of renting one building on its own.
